About The Chef
When Kira was little, she came home with her very first recipe. It was the day before Passover. Kira confidently walked into the kitchen, recipe card in hand. Kira rolled up her sleeves, pulled a chair up to the counter, and with a big smile said "I am going to make the salt water to put on the Seder plate!" Kira has been cooking ever since.
Apples and Honey began in the spring of 2006 in as a personal chef service. While in Washington, DC, Kira served more than thirty different clients. When Kira and her family moved to Pittsburgh, Kira reopened Apples and Honey as a catering company. Kira looks forward to creating a unique menu for your special event.
Kira has certificates in both Culinary Techniques and Pastry Techniques from L'Academie de Cuisine. Kira is under the kosher supervision of the Va'ad HaRabanim of Pittsburgh.
